    WBJEE Counselling 2024: Registration, choice-filling begins today; guidelines for candidates

    WBJEE 2024 qualified candidates can apply for BTech, BArch courses at wbjeeb.nic.in. Check important dates.


    The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEEB) will commence the WBJEE counselling process today, July 10. WBJEE 2024 qualified candidates will be able to register and fill choices by visiting the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. The last date to apply for WBJEE counselling 2024 is July 16.


    WBJEE counselling is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering, technology and architecture in various colleges, institutions or universities across West Bengal. The counselling process includes registration, choice-filling, seat allotment result, payment of acceptance fee, document verification, and reporting to the allotted college.

    Students will be allotted colleges and courses based on their preferences, WBJEE ranks, and availability of seats. The WBJEE 2024 seat matrix is available on the official website of the board.

    There will be three rounds of WBJEE counselling 2024 – allotment, upgradation, and mop-up. Candidates will be allowed to register for round 1 and mop-up round. The counselling fee is Rs 500.

    Candidates may modify and can lock their choices by

    1st round of seat allotment result

    July 19, 2024

    Payment of seat acceptance fee and reporting to allotted college for document verification and admission

    July 19, 2024 to July 24, 2024

    WBJEE counselling 2024 guidelines


    • Candidates must provide necessary personal details, academic details, bank account details (in case of any refund), address, etc.
    • Candidates must provide their application number or roll number and the following academic information.
    1. Passing status, total marks and obtained marks in English of Class 10
    2. Passing status, overall full marks and obtained total marks in Class 12
    3. Passing status, total marks and obtained marks in Class 12 physics, mathematics, chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, computer application, electronics or information technology, informatics practices, technical vocational subject, agriculture, engineering graphics, business studies, entrepreneurship, English. If a subject does not apply to any candidate, he or she may select “NA”.


    • After payment of registration fee and submission of academic scores, the candidate can view all institutes and courses available according to his or her eligibility criteria based on the inputs provided.
    • After selecting institutes and courses, the candidate will arrange his or her choices in order of his or her priority.
    • The choices are shown in alphabetic order to make the search easy. Candidates can also search details based on institute and branch.
    • TFW seats are shown as separate choices for every institute and every branch, wherever applicable. For example, if a candidate is ready to accept either a TFW or Non-TFW seat in some institute in some branch then he or she must select both. The candidate will only be allotted the type of seat selected.
    • Candidates are advised to select at least 20 choices. They can opt for upgradation after allotment.
