NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Round 3 Seat Allotment Delayed, Choice Filling Open Till October 13
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has once again extended the NEET UG 2025 Round 3 choice-filling deadline till October 13, 2025, providing additional time for candidates to select their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges under the All India Quota (AIQ) and deemed universities.
Originally scheduled to close on October 11, the choice-filling process was extended following multiple requests from aspirants facing technical issues and confusion over seat matrix updates. As a result, the Round 3 seat allotment results, which were expected soon after, have also been postponed.
According to the official notice on mcc.nic.in, the decision has been taken “in the interest of students to ensure that all eligible candidates are able to exercise their choices properly.”
“The choice filling and locking facility for Round 3 of NEET UG 2025 counselling will remain open till October 13 (up to 11:59 PM). Candidates are advised to lock their choices before the deadline to avoid auto-locking,” the notification stated.
Once the process concludes, MCC will begin the seat processing phase, followed by the Round 3 seat allotment result, which will be published on the official website. The new date for allotment results is expected to be announced shortly.
Candidates who are allotted seats in Round 3 will be required to report to their respective colleges within the stipulated period to confirm admission.
The NEET UG 2025 counselling process includes four rounds — AIQ Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round. The final round will be conducted after the completion of Round 3 reporting.
