DU UG Spot Round 1 Registration 2025 Begins Tomorrow; Allotment on August 28
Delhi University (DU) has announced the schedule for its first spot admission round for undergraduate (UG) courses 2025. The registration process for Spot Round 1 will begin tomorrow, August 25, 2025, giving students who have not yet secured a seat an additional opportunity to participate in the admission process.
According to the official notification, candidates will be able to apply for spot round seats from August 25 to August 26, 2025, through the university’s admission portal. The seat allotment results for Spot Round 1 will be declared on August 28, 2025.

Eligibility for Spot Round
Only candidates who had registered for CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) 2025 but did not secure admission in previous rounds are eligible to participate.
Candidates who have already been admitted to a DU college will not be allowed to opt for spot round upgradation.
The seats available for spot rounds will be displayed on the DU portal before the registration opens.
Why Spot Round Matters
Delhi University has a total of 68,116 UG seats across its colleges, and despite three rounds of allocation and one upgradation round, several seats are still vacant. The spot round is aimed at filling these vacancies by giving another chance to applicants who could not get allotted in earlier rounds.
A senior DU official said, “The spot admission rounds help ensure that meritorious students don’t miss out on a seat due to earlier delays or technical issues. It also allows the university to fill vacant seats efficiently.”
Important Instructions for Candidates
Once allotted a seat in the spot round, candidates cannot withdraw or change their choice.
Students must ensure that all required documents (class 10 and 12 marksheets, category certificates if applicable, and other necessary documents) are uploaded correctly and presented at the time of verification.
Non-payment of the admission fee within the deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
With this, DU UG admissions 2025 are moving into their final phase. Further spot rounds may be conducted if seats remain vacant after Spot Round 1.
