On World Mental Health Day 2025, RINPAS and Psychographic Society, Ranchi organized the Jharkhand Inter-School Declamation Contest 2025. 28 schools participated, presenting speeches on “Healthy Mind, Healthy Life,” promoting mental health awareness, student motivation, and self-expression.
The event revolved around the theme “Healthy Mind, Healthy Life”, inspiring students to voice their perspectives on emotional health, resilience, and mental strength in today’s fast-paced world.
🌿 Purpose and Vision
The contest was designed to:
• Encourage mental health awareness among students.
• Create an open environment for expression and empathy.
• Foster collaboration between psychiatry and education.
• Recognize that mental wellness and academic success go hand in hand.
🎓 Chief Guest and Dignitaries
The event was inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Choudhary, Director, Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In his address, Dr. Choudhary highlighted the crucial role of schools in shaping emotionally healthy children.
“Mental wellness is not a luxury — it is a necessity. Encouraging students to speak, express, and understand emotions is the foundation of a healthy society,” said Dr. Choudhary.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Amool Ranjan Singh, Director, RINPAS, emphasized the legacy of RINPAS in promoting community mental health.
“When mental health becomes part of classroom dialogue, we nurture a generation that is confident, compassionate, and capable,” he said.
💡 Psychographic Society’s Contribution
The event was conceptually designed and coordinated by the Psychographic Society, led by Mr. Vikas Kumar, Director of Psychographic Society, Ranchi.
In his address, Mr. Kumar highlighted the importance of nurturing students’ mental strength and decision-making abilities alongside their academic goals. He stated:
“At Psychographic Society, our vision is to empower students not only to achieve academic excellence but also to understand themselves — emotionally, mentally, and socially.”
He thanked the participating schools, teachers, and RINPAS faculty for their wholehearted support in making the event a grand success.
🌟 Motivational Session by Mr. Prasoon Jha (AIR 1, IIT-JEE 1993)
Adding a spark of inspiration, Mr. Prasoon Jha, All India Rank 1 in IIT-JEE 1993, shared his journey of focus, discipline, and inner peace.
“Academic success is temporary; mental strength is permanent. A balanced mind helps you face both victory and failure with grace,” he told students, motivating everyone to view challenges positively.
