NIRF Ranking 2024: IISc Bangalore retains top spot in ‘university’ category, JNU comes second again
In the NIRF Rankings 2024, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has topped university rankings, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday announced the 9th edition of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2024. The NIRF Rankings, released annually, assess and rank higher education institutions in India based on various criteria.
In the NIRF Rankings 2024, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has topped university rankings, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi.
Notably, in the NIRF’s list of best higher educational institution, IISc Bengaluru was ranked number two, just after IIT Madras. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay secured third place followed by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in an overall category ranking.
