NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC Asks NRI Quota Candidates to Submit Documents by September 4

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a fresh notification for NEET UG 2025 candidates applying under the NRI quota. As per the notice, all such candidates must upload and submit their valid NRI documents by September 4, 2025, to be considered for seat allotment in Round 2 counselling.
Documents required for NRI quota
MCC has specified that the following documents are mandatory:
NRI status proof of the candidate’s parent/sponsor (passport, visa, or OCI card).
Sponsorship affidavit clearly stating the sponsor’s relationship with the candidate.
Embassy certificate/proof of residence of the NRI sponsor.
Candidate’s NEET UG 2025 scorecard and admit card.
Other supporting documents, if applicable.
The committee has clarified that incomplete or invalid documents will not be accepted, and such candidates will automatically be considered under the Indian category instead of the NRI quota.
Why the deadline matters
The NRI quota seats are limited and highly competitive, especially in private and deemed medical colleges. Missing the September 4 deadline could cost candidates the opportunity to claim seats reserved for NRI-sponsored students.
MCC advisory for students
MCC has advised candidates to:
Upload documents only through the official MCC portal.
Double-check scanned copies for clarity and validity.
Avoid last-minute submission to prevent technical glitches.
Next steps in NEET UG 2025 counselling
Following the September 4 deadline, MCC will scrutinize and verify NRI documents before finalizing the Round 2 seat allotment list. The allotment results are expected to be declared shortly after the verification process concludes.
