Management Education Center at NALCO campus in Odisha, Angul conducts courses for logistics personnel.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Indian Institute of Management (IIM Mumbai) and IIM Sambalpur Management Training Center at the NALCO Training Institute in Anguli. To meet the needs of the logistics sector in Odisha, a management training center has been set up at the Angulini National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) campus.

The center conducts three and six month logistics and logistics courses. operation It also offers a one-year postgraduate course for managers designed by IIMs in collaboration with industry. This center also offers new courses keeping in view the requirements from time to time.

While addressing the gathering, Dharmendra Pradhan said that Angul is rich in industrial activity and is known for coal production. “Railway and road infrastructure will be developed and in this direction, the PM Gati Shakti program will be aligned with the newly opened management training center at the NALCO campus. The focus will be on streamlining logistics and supply chain operations through digitization. Employment in various industries in this area will bring much-needed development to the logistics sector,” he said.

NALCO and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) are among the two major public sector companies operating in these areas. MCL has have already signed an agreement and selected forty managers from each batch for the course. Also, NALCO has signed an agreement to provide classrooms, offices, accommodation and logistics.

The center was inaugurated by NALCO CMD Sridhar Patra, IIM Mumbai Director Manoj Kumar Tiwary, Director of IIM Sambalpur Mahadeo Jaiswal and MCL Director (Personnel) In the presence of Keshav Rao.
