HP NEET UG 2025 Counselling Schedule Revised Again; Round 2 Seat Allotment Now on September 22
The Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, has once again revised the counselling schedule for NEET UG 2025 admissions. According to the latest notification, the round 2 seat allotment results for MBBS and BDS courses will now be declared on September 22, 2025, instead of the earlier announced date.
The rescheduling has created mixed reactions among candidates and parents, as this is the second time the timetable has been altered during the ongoing admission process. Many aspirants are closely waiting for their upgraded seats under state quota and management quota in government and private medical colleges of Himachal Pradesh.

Reporting to Allotted Colleges: Likely from September 23 to 26, 2025

Officials from HPU have clarified that the changes were made due to administrative requirements and the need to synchronize with the national MCC counselling process. They assured students that the revised timeline would not affect the overall admission deadlines set by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Student Concerns
Candidates, however, are expressing concern over repeated schedule shifts, which disrupt their planning. Parents argue that such frequent changes cause uncertainty, especially for those balancing admissions in multiple states. Despite this, aspirants remain hopeful that the second round will bring clarity and stability to the counselling process.
Seat Availability
Himachal Pradesh offers more than 870 MBBS seats and 100 BDS seats across government and private medical colleges. After round 1, several seats remain vacant due to withdrawals and upgradations, making round 2 highly crucial for students aiming for better colleges and courses.
The counselling authority has advised candidates to regularly check the official HPU website for updates and ensure timely reporting once the round 2 results are published.
