Haryana to Add 200 MBBS Seats; 100 Each at Bhiwani and Koriavas Medical Colleges
Haryana is set to expand its medical education capacity with the addition of 200 new MBBS seats for the upcoming academic session. The state government has announced that two new government medical colleges – Bhiwani Medical College and Koriavas Medical College (Mahendragarh district) – will each offer 100 MBBS seats starting from this year.
Strengthening Healthcare Infrastructure
The move is aimed at addressing the growing demand for medical professionals and strengthening healthcare services across Haryana. With the inclusion of these new colleges, the state’s total MBBS seat count will significantly increase, giving more opportunities to aspiring doctors.
Currently, Haryana has several government medical colleges including PGIMS Rohtak, Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College (Nalhar), Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College (Karnal), and AIIMS Jhajjar. The addition of Bhiwani and Koriavas institutions marks another major step in the state’s ongoing expansion of medical education.
Admission Through NEET UG 2025
Admissions to these newly created seats will be conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 counselling process. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the MBBS course under the state quota and all-India quota as per the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Haryana guidelines.
