CUET UG 2025: May 26 Exam Disrupted Nationwide Due to Technical Glitches Facebook

May 26, 2025 — The Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programs (CUET UG) 2025, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), faced significant technical disruptions across various examination centers in India on May 26. Candidates reported delays in entry and server issues, particularly during the first shift scheduled to commence at 9:00 AM.
Widespread Technical Issues Reported
Aspirants from multiple regions, including Ayodhya, Kanpur, Faridabad, Delhi, and Patna, took to social media platforms to express their concerns over the delays and lack of communication at exam centers. At several locations, candidates were not allowed entry into the examination halls even after the reporting time had passed, citing server-related problems.
For instance, at an exam center in Ayodhya, students were kept waiting outside due to server downtime, with no clear instructions from the authorities. Similar situations were reported in Kanpur and Faridabad, where candidates faced uncertainty and confusion regarding the commencement of the exam. In Patna, a delay was also reported, with candidates being informed of a “pan-India” technical error causing the disruption.
Previous Instances of Technical Glitches
This is not the first time CUET UG 2025 has encountered technical issues. Earlier, on May 14, the exam was canceled at a center in Srinagar due to server errors, leading to rescheduling for the affected candidates. Additionally, on May 16, candidates at the Sector 62, Noida center faced similar server-related problems, resulting in delays.
NTA’s Response and Next Steps
As of now, the NTA has not issued an official statement addressing the technical issues faced on May 26. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official CUET UG website (cuet.nta.nic.in) for updates regarding rescheduling and further instructions.
Impact on Candidates
The recurring technical problems have raised concerns among students and parents about the reliability of the examination process. Many candidates have expressed anxiety over the potential impact on their academic future, emphasizing the need for prompt and transparent communication from the authorities.
As the CUET UG 2025 exams continue, it remains imperative for the NTA to address these technical challenges to ensure a fair and smooth examination process for all candidates.
