May 26, 2025 — The first day of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2025 witnessed significant disruptions across various examination centers in India. Candidates reported server failures, delayed entry, and inadequate communication from authorities, leading to widespread frustration and concern.

Widespread Technical Issues Reported

Candidates from cities including Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Noida, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, and Gurgaon faced technical difficulties that disrupted the smooth conduct of the exam. At the Bhonwal Institute of Engineering in Lucknow, candidates were unable to enter the exam centre due to unresolved technical problems, with college gatekeepers informing parents about the delay. In Ahmedabad, the server reportedly went down, preventing entry to the exam hall. In Noida, students stood outside in the heat for over an hour, expressing frustration over the lack of arrangements and the negative impact on their exam performance. Similar complaints came from Bangalore and Gurgaon, where server failures led to exam centres not opening their gates on time. In Bhubaneswar, the reporting time was changed from 7:30 am to 8:30 am without prior notice, causing confusion among candidates.

Candidates Express Frustration

Many candidates took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the exam arrangements. One candidate tweeted about the server being down at the BR Online Services centre in Lucknow, calling the situation “pathetic.” Another reported that in Ahmedabad, candidates were not allowed entry due to server issues. In Bhubaneswar, a candidate highlighted the lack of proper facilities and the sudden change in reporting time.

Official Response Awaited

As of now, BITS Pilani has not issued an official statement regarding the technical issues faced during the BITSAT 2025 Day 1 examination. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official BITSAT website (bitsadmission.com) for updates and further instructions.

Looking Ahead

The BITSAT 2025 Session 1 exams are scheduled to continue until May 30, 2025, with two shifts each day. Candidates are hopeful that the issues faced on Day 1 will be addressed promptly to ensure a smooth examination process in the subsequent days.
