Aarush of DPS Bokaro tops Jharkhand in CBSE Science Challenge

Bokaro. Aarush Ranjan, a class 10 student of DPS Bokaro, has topped the whole of Jharkhand in the CBSE Science Challenge 2024-25 organized by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) with the aim of developing curiosity, awareness and scientific thinking towards science among students. Aarush is the only student from the whole of Jharkhand to qualify for this challenge in the 10th class category. Participants from CBSE affiliated schools from different provinces of the country took part in this challenge based on the subject of science, environment and sustainability. In these, Aarush has made his school, city and the entire state proud at the national level by achieving success with high level performance.
It is noteworthy that CBSE organizes this competition every year for students of classes 8 to 10 in two phases at intra-school and inter-school level. In CBSE Science Challenge, challenging questions of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science are asked. The Principal of the school, Dr. A.S. Gangwar congratulated Aarush, calling his success an achievement for the school as well as the entire state. Also, wished him a bright future. Honoring Aarush in a special prayer meeting organized in the school on Tuesday, the Principal said that his glorious success is also an inspiration for other students.
It is noteworthy that Aarush has recently secured the first position in the entire Jharkhand in the country’s biggest competition in the field of science, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM). He has qualified for the national examination of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan to be held in May 2025. Apart from this, he also got great success in the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO).
Aarush, the promising son of Niranjan Kumar, an officer in a private insurance company, and Aarti Ranjan, an employee of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (Jhalsa), is very interested in astronomical physics. He wants to do research in this field in future and become an astronomical scientist. In a conversation, he said that if he gets a chance, he will go to institutions like ISRO and NASA and try to obtain information about the mysteries of the universe. Aarush, the eldest of two brothers, studies with full concentration for six to seven hours daily. Apart from studies, he is also very fond of playing guitar and photography.
