    What is JEE Main Percentile and Percentage?

    Many students are often confused with the percentile and percentage obtained in the JEE Main Examination. The percentage is the actual marks obtained in the examination whereas the percentile is calculated as the relative marking.

    Percentage = (100 x candidate marks)/ total marks

    Percentile = (100 x Candidates in the session whose aggregate score was lower than their own) / Total Candidates who appeared for the exam in that session.
