In a significant boost for medical aspirants, the Rajasthan NEET UG 2025 counselling has entered Round 2 with the addition of 350 MBBS and 50 BDS seats across state government and private medical colleges. The new seats have been approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) following intake capacity expansions in select institutions.

The Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board, Rajasthan, confirmed that the fresh seats will be included in the ongoing Round 2 counselling process. Candidates who have already registered can participate in choice filling, while fresh applicants are also eligible to register for this round.

Key Details of Round 2 Counselling:

• Registration window: Open from September 12 to September 15, 2025.

• Choice filling & locking: Candidates must complete by September 16, 2025.

• Seat allotment result: Expected around September 19, 2025.

• Reporting: Students allotted seats must report to their respective colleges within the given deadline.

Impact of Additional Seats:

• The 350 MBBS seats are spread across newly approved batches in both government medical colleges and private institutions.

• The 50 BDS seats have been added to private dental colleges in the state.

• Experts believe the addition will lower cut-off ranks in Round 2, giving more candidates a chance to secure admission in their preferred colleges.

Who Can Participate in Round 2:

1. Candidates who did not get any seat in Round 1.

2. Those allotted but did not take admission.

3. Fresh applicants who qualified NEET UG 2025 but missed Round 1 registration.

4. Candidates seeking upgradation of their Round 1 seat.

Advisory for Students:

The counselling authority has urged candidates to carefully review the seat matrix before locking their preferences. Those already admitted through the All India Quota (AIQ) or in other state counselling processes must ensure proper withdrawal before joining in Rajasthan to avoid disqualification.

With the addition of 400 new seats, Rajasthan emerges as one of the states offering the highest number of opportunities for medical aspirants in NEET UG 2025.
