New Delhi, May 20, 2025 — The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the final results of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2024, with Kanika Anabh from Ranchi securing the top position (AIR 1) among the 143 candidates recommended for appointment.

Examination Overview

The IFS examination process comprised a written examination held from November 24 to December 1, 2024, followed by Personality Tests conducted between April 21 and May 2, 2025. The final merit list has been prepared based on the combined performance in both stages.

Category-Wise Selection

Out of the 143 candidates selected:

• General Category: 40 candidates, including 4 candidates with disabilities (2 from Category II and 2 from Category III).

• Other Categories: The remaining selections span across OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories, ensuring representation from diverse backgrounds.
