SOF Olympiad Exams 2025: Exam Date, Registration, Syllabus, Advantages
The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has announced the schedule for its Olympiad exams for the academic session 2025-26. These prestigious exams are conducted across multiple subjects including Science, Mathematics, English, Computer Science, General Knowledge, Social Studies, Hindi, and Commerce.
SOF 1st Level Exam Dates 2025-26
The 1st Level Exams will commence in September 2025 and continue till January 2026. Each Olympiad has been allotted multiple dates, and schools can select one based on convenience.

SOF IGKO (General Knowledge Olympiad): Sept 25, Oct 8, Nov 7, 2025 (Classes 1–10)
SOF IEO (English Olympiad): Sept 26, Nov 11, Nov 26, 2025 (Classes 1–12)
SOF NSO (Science Olympiad): Nov 13, Nov 27, Dec 11, 2025 (Classes 1–12)
SOF IMO (Math Olympiad): Nov 12, Nov 28, Dec 12, 2025 (Classes 1–12)
SOF ICSO (Computer Olympiad): Sept 24, Oct 9, Jan 22, 2026 (Classes 1–10)
SOF ISSO (Social Studies Olympiad): Sept 18, Nov 20, Jan 23, 2026 (Classes 3–10)
SOF IHO (Hindi Olympiad): Sept 19, Nov 19, Jan 22, 2026 (Classes 1–10)
SOF ICO (Commerce Olympiad): Sept 18, Nov 7, 2025 (Classes 11–12)
SOF 2nd Level Exams 2025-26
Level 2 exams will be conducted for SOF IEO, NSO, and IMO for classes 3 to 12.
Dates for Level 2 exams will be announced by January 2026.
Other Olympiads (IGKO, ICO, ISSO, IHO, ICSO) will remain single-level.
SOF Olympiad Registration 2025: How Students Can Apply
The registration process for SOF Olympiad Exams 2025 has begun. Students can participate through their schools, as direct individual registrations are not allowed.
Registration Guidelines:
Schools must submit student registration forms 15 days before the chosen exam date.
Registration Fee:
India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan: ₹125 per student per Olympiad (inclusive of GST).
Other Countries: US $9 per student.
Schools may charge an additional ₹25 (or $1 abroad) for teacher honorarium or administrative expenses.
Exemption: Students with major physical disabilities or children of defense martyrs are exempted from the fee.
SOF Olympiad 2025: Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The SOF Olympiad Exams 2025 are based on CBSE, ICSE, and various state board curricula.
Exam Format:
Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Sections vary by class level but include logical reasoning, subject-specific knowledge, and higher-order thinking.
Syllabus Coverage:
NSO: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environment
IMO: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Data Handling
IEO: Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension, Writing Skills
ICSO: Computer fundamentals, IT concepts, coding basics
ISSO: History, Civics, Geography, Economics
IHO: Reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary in Hindi
IGKO: Current affairs, social awareness, general knowledge
ICO: Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics
