VVRS Creates History Again, Wins State Honour for 14th Time at Bihar Child Scientist Research Programme 2025

Purnea: Vidya Vihar Residential School (VVRS), Parora, Purnea has once again brought immense pride to the region by achieving selection for the State Award for the 14th time at the 2nd Bihar State Child Scientist Research Programme 2025. This remarkable achievement highlights the school’s unwavering commitment to scientific research, innovation, and experiential learning.

At the district-level competition in Purnea, three innovative projects from VVRS earned selection, showcasing the scientific temperament and problem-solving abilities of its students. The selected projects included:
Krishi Sathi by Shruti Singh and Akshita Anubha
Rainwater Harvesting System by Nupur and Harshit
Solar Tracking System by Akshay and Shreyashi

All three projects qualified for the regional-level competition held at Madhubani. Among them, the project Krishi Sathi stood out for its innovation, practicality, and strong social relevance, securing selection for the state-level round.
The State-Level Bihar Child Scientist Research Programme was conducted on December 30–31, 2025 at the Sri Krishna Science Centre, Patna. Out of 51 projects presented from across Bihar, only 30 projects were selected for the prestigious State Award, with VVRS emerging as the only school from Purnea district to receive this honour.

Innovative Project: Krishi Sathi
The award-winning project Krishi Sathi is a farmer-centric digital solution designed to empower the agricultural community. The application analyses plant health through leaf images, recommends appropriate nutritional or medicinal treatments, and enables sprinkler system control using Hindi language commands and visual icons. By simplifying advanced agricultural technology, the project aims to make modern farming tools accessible even to small and marginal farmers.
Leadership Applauds Young Innovators
The school leadership congratulated the students and mentors for their dedication and innovation, appreciating their research-oriented approach. They reaffirmed VVRS’s commitment to fostering scientific curiosity, experiential learning, and innovation-driven education, enabling students to address real-world challenges through technology.
