    New Delhi, November 5: Indian higher education institutions have once again made a strong mark in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025, with five Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Delhi University (DU), and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru securing positions among the top 100 universities in Asia.

    The rankings, released by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluate over 800 universities from across Asia based on key parameters such as academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, international research collaboration, and citations per paper.

    🔹 Top-Ranked Indian Institutions (2025)

    1. IISc Bengaluru – India’s highest-ranked institution, maintaining its position among Asia’s top 50.

    2. IIT Bombay – Continues to lead among IITs with strong scores in academic and employer reputation.

    3. IIT Delhi – Rises in research impact and international collaboration metrics.

    4. IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Kanpur – All feature in the top 100, showcasing India’s growing engineering and research excellence.

    5. Delhi University (DU) – Retains its spot among Asia’s top comprehensive universities, performing strongly in academic reputation.

    India has emerged as one of the top-performing nations in the QS Asia 2025 list, with over 100 Indian universities ranked this year — the highest representation after China and Japan. Many state and private universities have also made significant improvements, reflecting the expanding quality and reach of higher education in India.

    • National University of Singapore (NUS) has once again topped the QS Asia Rankings 2025.

    • Tsinghua University and Peking University from China secured the next two positions.

    • Several universities from Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan also featured prominently in the top 20.
