NIOS Class 10, 12 Revised Exam Dates 2025 Announced; Nationwide Papers on December 2

New Delhi, November 18, 2025:
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released a revised schedule for the Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) public examinations for the October–November 2025 session. The changes were made in response to the Bihar Assembly Elections, which caused logistical challenges at several examination centres.
Why the Exam Dates Were Changed
According to NIOS, the theory examinations scheduled for 6 November 2025 had to be postponed due to election duties assigned to many schools and centres in the affected regions. To ensure smooth and fair conduct of the exams, the institute rescheduled the affected papers.
Two official notifications were issued:
The first announced the cancellation of the 6 November papers across India.
The second provided the revised dates for rescheduled Class 10 and 12 examinations.

Download their updated date sheet and hall ticket from the official portal.
Stay in regular contact with their study centre for any last–minute updates.
Why This Matters
The revised timetable ensures that examinations do not clash with election duties, especially in Bihar and certain parts of Odisha. The nationwide exam date on 2 December 2025 provides uniformity for major subjects and allows students additional time for preparation.
