NEET UG Answer Key 2026 Released: NTA Uploads Provisional Keys at neet.nta.ac.in; Students Can Calculate Scores
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2026 on its official website, neet.nta.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) can now download the answer key, recorded responses, and OMR sheets to estimate their scores before the final result declaration.
NEET UG 2026 Exam Overview
NEET UG 2026 was conducted on May 3 across hundreds of exam centres in India and abroad. More than 22 lakh candidates reportedly appeared for the medical entrance examination this year, making it one of the largest entrance exams in the country.
The examination is held for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical courses offered by medical institutions across India.

The answer keys are available for different paper codes including 11, 12, 13, and 14.
How to Download NEET UG 2026 Answer Key
- Visit the official website — neet.nta.ac.in
- Click on the “NEET UG 2026 Answer Key” link
- Login using application number and password/date of birth
- Download the provisional answer key and response sheet
- Match responses to estimate your score
How to Calculate NEET Scores
Students can calculate their probable marks using the official marking scheme:
- +4 marks for each correct answer
- –1 mark for each incorrect answer
- 0 marks for unanswered questions
The total estimated score can help candidates predict their expected rank and counselling chances.
Objection Window Open
NTA is also expected to allow candidates to challenge the provisional answer key within a limited period. Candidates who find discrepancies in any answer can submit objections online by paying a non-refundable fee per question challenged.
After reviewing objections submitted by students, NTA will release the final answer key. The NEET UG 2026 result will be prepared based on the final answer key only.

Following the release of the provisional answer key and response sheets, the NEET UG 2026 results are expected to be declared in the coming weeks.
