MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025: Stray Vacancy Round Registration Begins Today; Who’s Eligible

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially begun the registration process for the Stray Vacancy Round of NEET UG 2025 counselling. This round marks the final opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission to MBBS and BDS courses under All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and ESIC seats.

Registration: November 4 – November 9, 2025
Choice Filling and Locking: November 5 – November 9, 2025
Seat Allotment Result: November 12, 2025
Reporting to Allotted Institute: November 13 – November 20, 2025
Candidates are advised to complete the registration and choice-filling process within the stipulated time, as no extensions are expected for this final round.
Who Is Eligible
The following categories of candidates are eligible to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round:
Registered but Unallotted Candidates:
Those who registered for earlier rounds of MCC counselling (Round 1, 2, or 3) but did not get any seat allotment.Candidates Who Vacated Seats:
Those who were allotted a seat earlier but resigned or did not join within the prescribed time and thus lost their seat.Candidates Eligible for AIQ/Deemed/Central Quota:
Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2025 and met the eligibility requirements of the respective quota.Not Eligible:
Candidates who never registered on the MCC portal in earlier rounds will generally not be allowed to participate in this round. However, eligibility may vary slightly for different quotas or institutions.
How to Register
Visit the official MCC counselling portal (mcc.nic.in).
Click on “UG Medical Counselling 2025 – Stray Vacancy Round.”
Complete registration using NEET UG roll number, application number, and other required details.
Pay the applicable registration fee and security deposit.
Fill and lock your choices of colleges and courses before the deadline.
Download the confirmation page after successful submission.
After Seat Allotment
Candidates allotted a seat in the Stray Vacancy Round must report physically to the allotted institute between November 13 and 20, 2025.
Failing to join within the timeline will result in forfeiture of the allotted seat.
Once a seat is allotted in the stray round, no further upgradation or withdrawal is allowed.
Important Guidelines
Keep all documents ready — NEET UG 2025 scorecard, admit card, category certificate, date of birth proof, Class 10 & 12 mark sheets, and any previous allotment or resignation letter.
Check the seat matrix for vacant seats before choice filling.
