JEE Main 2026: Application Form Correction Window Opens December 1; Registration Deadline Nears

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the correction facility for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 application form will open on December 1, 2025, providing candidates a final opportunity to rectify errors in their submitted forms. The correction window will remain active until December 2, 2025 (11:50 PM).
This facility will be available only to those candidates who complete their registration before the deadline. The registration process will close in the last week of November, and applicants are advised to complete their forms without delay to become eligible for corrections.
What Candidates Can Edit
NTA will allow modifications in specific fields including:
Category and sub-category
Class 10 and 12 academic details
Exam city preferences
Paper selection (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Planning)
Medium of examination
Candidates whose Aadhaar verification did not match may also be allowed to edit:
Date of birth
Gender
Name (only in certain cases with proof)
Fields That Cannot Be Changed
Some details are strictly non-editable, even during correction:
Mobile number
Email ID
Address
Uploaded photograph and signature
Once the correction window closes, NTA will not entertain any further requests for changes under any circumstances.
Additional Fee May Apply
If the correction leads to a change in category or exam city, or any modification that affects the fee structure, candidates will need to pay the difference online.
Why the Correction Window Matters
The JEE Main form is crucial for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and acts as a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. Any incorrect detail can affect a candidate’s exam city allocation, category benefits, eligibility, or admission process. NTA has therefore urged students to carefully review every entry in their form.
