JEE Advanced 2026: Complete Schedule Released; Exam on May 17, Results on June 1
New Delhi: The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2026 schedule has been officially released, outlining all key dates related to registration, examination, answer keys, results, and Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). The schedule, last updated on December 28, 2025, provides clarity for aspirants aiming for admission to IITs and other premier engineering institutes.
Registration and Eligibility Process
The JEE (Main) 2026 examination and its results will be conducted and declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates qualifying JEE (Main) 2026 will be eligible to register for JEE (Advanced) 2026.
Foreign national candidates and OCI/PIO (F) candidates can register online from April 6, 2026 (10:00 IST) to May 2, 2026 (23:59 IST).
JEE (Main) 2026 qualified candidates can complete their online registration from April 23, 2026 (10:00 IST) to May 2, 2026 (23:59 IST).
The last date for fee payment for registered candidates is May 4, 2026 (23:59 IST).
Admit Card and Scribe Selection
The JEE (Advanced) 2026 admit card will be available for download from May 11, 2026 (10:00 IST) until May 17, 2026 (14:30 IST).
Candidates with PwD status or less than 40% disability and difficulty in writing will be allowed to choose their scribe on May 16, 2026.
JEE (Advanced) 2026 Examination Details
The JEE (Advanced) 2026 examination will be conducted on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in two papers:
Paper 1: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (IST)
Paper 2: 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM (IST)
Appearing in both papers is mandatory for candidates to be considered for ranking.
Answer Key, Responses, and Results
Candidate response sheets will be available on May 21, 2026 (17:00 IST).
Provisional answer keys will be displayed online on May 25, 2026 (10:00 IST).
Candidates can submit feedback or comments on the provisional answer keys from May 25, 2026 (10:00 IST) to May 26, 2026 (17:00 IST).
The final answer key and JEE (Advanced) 2026 results will be declared on June 1, 2026 (10:00 IST).
Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026
Candidates interested in B.Arch programmes at IITs can register for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026 from June 1, 2026 (10:00 IST) to June 2, 2026 (17:00 IST).
The AAT 2026 exam will be held on June 4, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (IST).
AAT 2026 results will be announced on June 7, 2026 (17:00 IST).
JoSAA Counselling
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2026 counselling process is tentatively scheduled to begin on June 2, 2026 (17:00 IST).
