The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released the draft answer key and question paper PDFs for the UCEED 2026 (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) and CEED 2026 (Common Entrance Examination for Design) examinations. Candidates who appeared for the exams can now check the provisional answers and raise objections, if any, through the official candidate portal.

Both examinations were conducted on January 18, 2026 at designated test centres across the country.

Objection Window Open Till January 22

IIT Bombay has invited candidates to submit comments or objections on the draft answer key and question paper till January 22, 2026 (5:00 PM).

Important points regarding objections:

• Objections must be submitted only through the candidate login portal

• Requests sent via email or any other mode will not be accepted

• Candidates can submit objections for multiple questions separately

• Supporting justification or explanation can be added while submitting feedback

After reviewing all valid objections, IIT Bombay will publish the final answer key, which will be used for result preparation.

Exam Pattern Overview

Both UCEED and CEED consist of two parts:

Part A (Objective Type)

Includes:

• Numerical Answer Type (NAT)

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

• Multiple Select Questions (MSQs)

The draft answer key has been released only for Part A.

Part B (Subjective Type)

• UCEED: Drawing and design aptitude questions

• CEED: Drawing and writing skill questions

Part B is evaluated manually, so no answer key is issued for this section.

UCEED Part A Marking Scheme Highlights

• NAT questions – No negative marking

• MCQs – Negative marking for wrong answers

• MSQs – Partial marking with limited negative marking

• Total questions: 57

• Total marks: 200

CEED final scores will be calculated using marks obtained in both Part A and Part B.

Result and Scorecard Schedule

• CEED 2026 results: Expected on March 4, 2026

• CEED scorecards: Available from March 10, 2026 (valid for one year)

• UCEED 2026 results: Likely to be announced in early March 2026

After UCEED results, counselling and seat allotment for B.Des programmes at IITs and participating institutes will begin.
