IIT Bombay Opens MBA Admissions 2026; Applications Open Till January 31

Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially opened registrations for MBA admissions for the 2026–28 academic session. The admissions are being conducted by the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), one of India’s premier management schools. Eligible candidates can apply using their CAT 2025 scores, with the last date to submit the online application being January 31, 2026.

Last date for fee payment: February 1, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM)
Personal Interview (PI) round: March 5 to March 8, 2026
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the IIT Bombay MBA programme must fulfill the following requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
A valid CAT 2025 score.
Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
Selection Process
The selection process for MBA 2026 at IIT Bombay involves multiple stages:
Shortlisting of candidates based primarily on CAT 2025 performance.
Personal Interview (PI) for shortlisted candidates.
Final selection will be based on a composite score, which includes CAT score, academic performance, work experience (if any), and PI performance.
