CLAT 2026 Application Form Correction Window Opens — Check What Can Be Edited

    CLAT

The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has opened the application correction window for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. This facility allows candidates who have already submitted their applications to review and edit specific details before the final submission.

The correction window comes after the conclusion of the application submission phase, which closed on October 31, 2025. The CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes at 24 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) across India.

    What Can Be Edited

Candidates can make changes in the following fields during the correction window:

    • Name of candidate – minor spelling corrections allowed

    • Date of Birth – correction of typographical or entry errors

    • Father’s or Mother’s Name

    • Exam Centre Preference – change or reorder of test cities

    • Photograph/Signature Upload – replace unclear or invalid images

    • Category/Reservation Status – change permitted in some cases with valid proof

    • Email ID or Mobile Number – editable in limited circumstances

    What Cannot Be Changed

Certain details are locked and cannot be modified, including:

    • Programme type (UG or PG)

    • Certain category fields, such as BPL status, once verified

    • Any information verified or submitted with supporting certificates

    • Academic details already validated by uploaded documents

Steps to Edit the Application Form

    1. Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs.

    2. Log in using your registered mobile number and password.

    3. Click on the “Edit Application” or “Correction Window” option.

    4. Make the necessary changes in editable fields only.

    5. Verify all details carefully before submitting the revised form.

    6. Download and save the updated confirmation page for future reference.

    Important Instructions

    • Candidates must ensure that all details match their official documents such as certificates, Aadhaar card, and mark sheets.

    • No requests for correction will be accepted once the window closes.

    • Inconsistent or false information may lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of admission.

    • Candidates are advised to check their photo and signature dimensions carefully before uploading.

    Why the Correction Window Matters

The correction window provides a final opportunity to fix errors that could otherwise affect eligibility, exam centre allocation, or even admission. Even minor mistakes in category, name spelling, or contact details can create issues during document verification or seat allotment.
