What is the MHT CET?

The Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is an annual entrance examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It serves as a gateway for students seeking admission into engineering and technology courses across the state’s numerous colleges and universities.

As soon as the candidate gets the update on the declaration of the MHT CET Merit List for the BE/B. Tech and M.Tech, then the applicants can simply follow the below steps and can view their provisional merit list and download that for the objections to be raised further.

• Firstly, visit the official website of the authority at https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ or https://fe2024.mahacet.org/StaticPages/HomePage.
• After entering the above address, the candidate will be able to see the homepage.
• Now the applicant can see an “Undergraduate Course” section. Click on that section.
• A new page opens and the candidate can see three sections named News, Notifications and Downloads.
• Under the notification section candidate will see a link as “Merit List of B.E/ B.Tech and Masters of Engineering and Technology 2024”.
• The applicant can click on the above-mentioned link and a pdf gets open on the screen.
• The applicant can check their name on the provisional merit list and can download it for further stages of admission.

The details to be checked in the merit list are:

• Applicant name- The name of the applicant should be checked properly with the spellings provided by the authority.
• CAP Application Number- The CAP application number is also mentioned in the provisional merit list. It should also be checked by the candidates.
• The gender of the candidate and their date of birth is also mentioned in the list. The applicants need to check that. It should be mentioned correctly.
• Category of the candidate.
• Sort of Candidature is also mentioned in the provisional list.
• Status of the minority if applied in that category.
• Physically handicapped status is in that category.
• Marks received by the candidate in the CET.
• Marks obtained in the standard 10th and 12th.
• In the end, the candidate’s status of the application is mentioned and the status of their documents is also specified in the list. The candidate needs to submit the docs accordingly.

Important Instructions for CAP Round 1

Candidates must adhere to the following instructions for the CAP Round 1:

• Download the Merit List: Ensure all details, including rank and category, are accurate.
• Fill the Option Form: Choose your preferred colleges and courses from August 9 to 11.
• Seat Allotment: Check the provisional seat allotment on August 14.
• Seat Acceptance: Accept your seat and complete the admission process between August 16 and 18.
• Reporting: Report to the allotted institute with necessary documents and fees within the given timeframe.

CAP Counselling Schedule
