MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025: Round 2 Registration Begins After Multiple Revisions

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has finally opened the Round 2 registration for NEET UG Counselling 2025, following several schedule revisions over the past few weeks. The fresh registration window is now active on the official MCC portal for candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing seats under the All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities, central universities, and ESIC institutions.
Key Details of Round 2 Counselling
Registration Start Date: As per the revised schedule, Round 2 registration has now begun.
Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates must complete choice filling and lock preferences within the stipulated timeline.
Seat Allotment Result: MCC will publish the Round 2 allotment list as per the updated schedule.
Reporting to Colleges: Students allotted seats must report to their respective institutions with original documents and admission fees to confirm admission.
Why the Delay?
The Round 2 counselling process faced repeated postponements due to a combination of logistical challenges, seat matrix updates, and technical adjustments in the MCC portal. The delays had created anxiety among aspirants, but the official commencement of registration now brings clarity and relief.
Options for Candidates in Round 2
Fresh Registrations: Candidates who did not register in Round 1 can apply now.
Upgradation: Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 can opt for upgradation in Round 2.
New Choices: Applicants can modify their course and college preferences.
What’s Next?
After Round 2, MCC will conduct a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round to ensure maximum utilization of seats across medical and dental colleges. State-level counselling authorities will also continue parallel processes for their respective quota seats.
