The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the revised counselling schedule for BTech admissions 2025 across IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The updated timetable comes after the authority extended the Round 1 reporting deadline to ensure a smoother admission process for lakhs of engineering aspirants.

Why the Schedule Was Revised

JoSAA officials cited technical glitches and document verification delays at several centres as the main reason behind the extension.

“We are committed to a fair and transparent counselling process. The schedule has been revised to accommodate all eligible candidates without compromising the integrity of the process,” said a JoSAA spokesperson.

What Candidates Should Do Now

• Visit the JoSAA portal regularly for updates.

• Ensure all documents are uploaded and verified before the new deadline.

• Pay the seat acceptance fee and complete the reporting process within the allotted time.

• Students failing to report in time will lose their allotted seat.

JoSAA 2025 counselling is being conducted for:

• 23 IITs

• 32 NITs

• 26 IIITs

• 40 GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes)

Over 50,000 BTech seats are being offered through this centralized process based on JEE Advanced and JEE Main 2025 ranks.
