    JEE Main 2024 session 2 registration begins at jeemain.nta.ac.in today; who is eligible?

    Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main 2024) session 2 application form to be made available today. Engineering aspirants who wish to apply for JEE Main 2024 April session will have to submit the registration form through the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

    As per the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam dates, the NTA will conduct BE, BTech, BArch paper 1 and 2 from April 1 to 15. The last date to apply for session 2 is March 2. The NTA concluded JEE Mains session 1 exam on February 1 and the results will be announced on February 12. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted and will lead to the cancellation of results.

    “It is mandatory to provide the mobile number and e-mail of the parent or guardian during the submission of the online application form of JEE (Main) – 2024 as a copy of the confirmation page, the final score card will also be sent to them,” the NTA said.

    JEE Main 2024 Form: Login options

    This year, the NTA has facilitated all candidates with an additional platform of UMANG and DigiLocker to download their documents such as JEE Main scorecard, admit card.

    Applicants are also advised to create a Digi locker account through the National Academic Depository (NAD) portal to login to the JEE Main official website. They will also be allowed to login using Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC) ID, passport number, PAN card number, or Aadhaar card number.

    However, those students who do not wish to create a DigiLocker account have been advised to report one hour prior to the entry time at the examination centre on the day of the examination.

    JEE Main 2024 session 2: Who is eligible?

    Aspirants can check the eligibility criteria before filling up the JEE Main form 2024 for the April session.

    • Candidates were given the option to apply for one session or both sessions together and pay the exam fee accordingly.
    • Those who have already opted to appear for both the sessions may not apply again.
    • Only those candidates who have passed the Class 12, intermediate or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or those who are appearing in the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2024, are eligible to appear in JEE Mains 2024.

    The opportunity to appear in two sessions was introduced for candidates to improve their scores in the examination. The NTA said that “this will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste an entire year”.

    It is not compulsory for candidates to appear in both sessions. However, if an aspirant appears in JEE Main January and April session, then the best JEE Main NTA score will be considered while preparing the rank list.
