JEE Advanced cut-off 2025 drops across all categories; minimum marks for General, OBC, SC, ST announced

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has announced the results for JEE Advanced 2025, revealing a notable reduction in qualifying cut-off marks across all categories. This change is expected to broaden access to IIT admissions for a larger pool of candidates.
This year, the overall qualifying aggregate marks for the Common Rank List (CRL) have decreased from 109 to 74 out of 360—a reduction of approximately 30%. Subject-wise minimum marks have also been lowered by about 3%.

Top Performers
Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone has secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a score of 312 out of 360. Notably, the top 15 rank holders are male, while Devdutta Majhi topped among female candidates, achieving the 16th rank.

Qualified candidates can now participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The counselling schedule and further details are available on the official JoSAA website.
