    JEE Advanced 2025 registration fee hiked for foreign students; IIT-Kanpur to hold exam in only 2 city

    IIT Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure, revealing that the application fee for JEE Advanced 2025 has been increased this year, but only for examination centres located in foreign countries.

    IIT Kanpur has published the information brochure for JEE Advanced 2025, announcing an increase in application fees for examination centres outside India. This year, the exam will be conducted across 222 cities in India and at two international centres located in Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu. Notably, the Dubai exam centre has been discontinued for this session.

    Candidates opting for Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu as their exam centres for JEE Advanced 2025 will need to pay an application fee of USD 150, while those from non-SAARC countries will be charged USD 250. This marks a USD 50 increase compared to the previous year.

     

     

    Meanwhile, the application fee for exam centres within India remains unchanged.

    As per the schedule, IIT Kanpur will begin the registration process for JEE Advanced 2025 on April 23, 2025, at 10 am. Eligible candidates can submit their application forms on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, until May 2, 2025.

    The JEE Advanced 2025 examination is set to take place on May 18, 2025.

    During the registration process, candidates must select ten preferred cities for their exam centres. While efforts will be made to assign a centre from the chosen preferences, in rare cases, a different city may be allocated.

    JEE ADVANCED 2025: APPLICATION FEES

    For examination centres in India:

    • Female candidates (all categories): Rs 1,600
    • SC, ST, and PwD candidates: Rs 1,600
    • All other candidates: Rs 3,200

    For Foreign Nationals & OCI/PIO cardholders (Issued on or after 04-03-2021):

    • Candidates residing in SAARC countries: USD 100
    • Candidates residing in Non-SAARC countries: USD 200

     

    For examination centres outside India:

    Indian nationals and OCI/PIO cardholders (Issued Before 04-03-2021):

    • All candidates: USD 150
    • Foreign nationals & OCI/PIO cardholders (Issued on or after 04-03-2021):
    • Candidates Residing in SAARC Countries: USD 150
    • Candidates Residing in Non-SAARC Countries: USD 250
