​IIT Madras has opened admissions for its online BS in Data Science and Applications and BS in Electronic Systems programs for the May 2025 batch. These programs are designed to provide flexible, high-quality education without the traditional constraints of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or fixed seat limits.​

• No JEE Required: Candidates can enroll without appearing for JEE Advanced. ​

• Unlimited Seats: There is no cap on the number of admissions, promoting inclusivity. ​

• Flexible Entry & Exit Options: Students can exit the program with a certificate, diploma, or continue to earn a full BS degree. ​

• Financial Aid: Scholarships are available, with up to 75% fee waivers for eligible students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

• Diverse Student Body: Over 38,000 learners, including professionals, career switchers, and international students, are currently enrolled. ​

• Qualifier Exam: July 13, 2025​

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• BS in Data Science and Applications:

  • Completed Class 12 in any stream.

  • Studied Mathematics and English at least up to Class 10. ​

• BS in Electronic Systems:

  • Completed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics.

  • Recognized Class 12 equivalents are also accepted. ​
