The Department of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana has commenced the Round 2 registration for NEET UG 2025 counselling for MBBS and BDS courses across government, government-aided, private, and deemed medical institutions in the state.

Candidates who were either not allotted seats in Round 1 or did not report to their allotted colleges can now apply for Round 2 through the official counselling portal. Fresh registrations are also allowed for those who had not applied earlier.

A major development in this round is the addition of 200 new MBBS seats in state medical colleges. These seats have been introduced after the approval of increased intake capacity by the National Medical Commission (NMC) in certain government and private colleges of Haryana. This move is expected to provide more opportunities to medical aspirants and reduce the cut-off ranks compared to Round 1.

Key Details for Round 2 Counselling:

• Registration window: Open from September 12 to September 15, 2025.

• Choice filling & locking: To be done after successful registration and payment of counselling fee.

• Seat allotment result: Likely to be declared in the third week of September.

• Reporting to colleges: Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective institutions within the stipulated deadline to confirm admission.

Who Can Participate:

1. Candidates not allotted seats in Round 1.

2. Those who were allotted but did not join.

3. Fresh candidates who qualified NEET UG 2025 but did not register in the earlier round.

4. Candidates who wish to upgrade their allotted seat.

Important Note:

Candidates already admitted through All India Quota (AIQ) or in other states must ensure they withdraw before participating in Haryana’s counselling to avoid disqualification.

With the addition of 200 MBBS seats, Haryana now offers a stronger opportunity for students aspiring to pursue medical education within the state. Experts suggest that this move will also reduce migration of students to other states and private universities.
