FIITJEE Ghaziabad operating ‘illegally’; several centres in Delhi-NCR shut abruptly, FIRs lodged

Several FIITJEE coaching centers in the Delhi-NCR region have abruptly closed, leaving many students and parents in distress. In Ghaziabad, a center operating without proper registration shut down suddenly, affecting approximately 800 students who had each paid fees ranging from ₹3.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh in advance. This closure occurred just weeks before crucial competitive exams, including the JEE (Mains) and board examinations.
The shutdowns are reportedly linked to widespread teacher resignations due to non-payment of salaries over several months. In response, First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed against FIITJEE centers in Noida and Ghaziabad, citing criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust.
Following these events, authorities have intensified inspections of other coaching centers in the region to ensure compliance with regulations. The Ghaziabad FIITJEE center has since resumed classes and applied for proper registration, aiming to mitigate the impact on students’ preparations.
These developments have raised concerns among students and parents, especially with major examinations approaching. The situation underscores the importance of regulatory oversight in the education sector to protect the interests of students and their families.
