FIITJEE blames managing partners for shutdown, warns legal action against poaching of staff

FIITJEE, a prominent coaching institute in India, is currently facing significant challenges, including the abrupt closure of several centers and allegations of financial mismanagement. The institute attributes these shutdowns to “mismanagement and desertion” by its managing partners and has announced plans to pursue legal action against competitors accused of poaching its faculty.
In recent incidents, FIITJEE centers in Ghaziabad and Bhopal were reported to have closed suddenly, leaving numerous students in uncertainty. Parents have expressed concerns over the future of their children’s education, especially after having paid substantial fees in advance.
The institute has denied allegations of non-payment of salaries leading to staff resignations, instead suggesting that the current turmoil is due to a “criminal conspiracy” by individuals with vested interests. FIITJEE has also indicated that it is a “victim of exploitation” by managing partners, which has exacerbated its financial difficulties.
Additionally, FIITJEE’s chairman, DK Goel, has come under scrutiny following the release of a video in which he is seen verbally abusing employees during an online meeting. This incident has sparked widespread criticism and raised questions about the organization’s internal culture.
The situation remains dynamic, with FIITJEE asserting that the current challenges are temporary and that efforts are underway to resume operations at affected centers promptly. The institute has also emphasized its commitment to taking legal action against unfair trade practices by competitors.
