CLAT Cut Off 2024 -2025 released – Round 3 Cut-Offs
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has published the third round CLAT 2024 cut off on January 22, 2024. The CLAT cut off for third round is available through the third CLAT 2024 seat allotment published on the official website- consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates whose ranks are above the CLAT cut off would be eligible to participate in the CLAT counselling.
Earlier the consortium had published the CLAT 2024 cut off for the first two rounds of CLAT counselling through CLAT seat allotment list published for the two rounds. The CLAT cut-off is the rank of the last candidate admitted into a particular NLU from a particular category and depends on various factors.

While the cut off for CLAT 2024 is an important figure that determines one’s admission, candidates can also make use of CLAT College Predictor to estimate their chances of admission in a given NLU. CLAT 2024 was held on December 03, 2023, in 139 exam centres across India in offline mode. Around 52,000 candidates appeared for the Common Law Admission Test for admission into 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of participating NLUs.

Important factors affecting CLAT 2024 cut-offs
Various factors affect the CLAT 2024 cut-off. Here are the important factors that will affect the CLAT 2024 cutoff:
NLU preferences given by the candidates: Candidates will be allotted seats based on their NLU preferences. Candidates will only considered for admission into those NLUs which they had mentioned in their NLU preference list. Candidates were required to provide their NLU preferences while filling up the CLAT 2024 application form.
Marks and rank obtained by the candidates: Candidates are offered admission based on merit cum preference. In the past higher ranked candidates have opted for top NLUs such as NLSIU Bengaluru and NALSAR Hyderabad. Therefore, the marks obtained by the candidate and their corresponding rank in the CLAT merit list will determine his/her admission chances to top NLUs.
Difficulty level of exam: An easier CLAT 2024 will result in candidates scoring high marks. This will lead to higher cut-offs. So, the CLAT cut-off marks are inversely proportional to the difficulty level of the CLAT exam.
Seats offered by NLUs: The NLUs offer over 3,000 seats in 5-year LLB and around 1300 seats in LLM. NLUs can accommodate only as many students as their intake capacity permits.
Reservation policy of NLUs: Most of the NLUs reserve around 25% of seats for domicile category candidates. Whereas, some NLUs offer domicile reservations up to 50% of the total intake. Seats are further distributed as per category-wise reservation. This will impact the CLAT cut-off 2024 for each category.
