New Delhi, May 13, 2025 –
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 12 results for 2025, revealing a mixed bag of outcomes. While the overall pass percentage stood at 88.39%, a notable increase in the number of students placed in the compartment category has raised concerns among educators and parents alike.

Despite this, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) emerged as top performers in the institutional category, once again demonstrating their consistent academic excellence. JNVs recorded the highest success rates among CBSE-affiliated schools, outpacing both government and private institutions.

One of the most striking trends in this year’s results is the growing number of perfect scores (100/100) in minor subjects. Subjects like Physical Education, Fine Arts, Computer Science, and Psychology saw a rise in students achieving full marks, which experts say reflects increased specialization and focused preparation in these areas.

While CBSE has continued its policy of not releasing an official topper list to reduce stress and promote holistic learning, many individual schools and education portals have highlighted exceptional performers in both core and elective subjects.
