BHU Seat Allotment 2025: Record-Breaking Low Cut-Off; General Category Admission Possible at Just 149 Marks

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the first cut-off list for undergraduate admissions for the 2025-26 academic session, and the numbers have surprised many aspirants. This year, the cut-off for some courses has dropped significantly compared to last year. Admissions are being conducted for around 9,200 UG seats at BHU based on CUET UG 2025 scores.
According to the allotment list, one of the most notable drops is in the Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Home Science with Sanskrit course offered under the Faculty of Arts. For the General category (female candidates), the cut-off stands at 149.448 marks, making it possible to secure admission in Vasanta College for Women with relatively lower scores.
Seat Allotment Process
The first seat allotment list has been prepared based on candidates’ CUET UG scores, rank, preferences, and seat availability. Students who have been allotted seats must confirm their admission by paying the admission fee and uploading the required documents online within the stipulated deadline. Failure to complete the process on time will result in the seat being offered to another candidate in the next round.
