Top Entrance Exams For BTech Admissions In 2025

Engineering is among one of the most sought-after educational courses in India and lakhs of students appear for various engineering entrance examinations each year. Those aspiring to pursue BTech in the upcoming academic year can apply for various entrance examinations conducted to offer admission to several top colleges in the country. Here are some of the exams BTech applicants should consider:
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year for students seeking admission to IITs, NIITs, IIITs and other prominent institutes of India. Registration for the upcoming academic year began on the NTA’s official website on October 28 and concluded on November 22.
BITSAT 2025
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is conducted in online mode for admission to BTech, BPharm and MSc admissions across BITS campuses. The exam is computer-based, with questions displayed on the screen for candidates to answer using a keyboard or mouse.
VITEEE 2025
The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will administer the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2025 from April 21, 2025, to April 27, 2025, for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at all VIT campuses. All interested and eligible candidates can apply for the entrance exam through the official website of VIT till March 31, 2025. Applicants must deposit a fee of RAS 1,340 during the registration process.
SRMJEEE 2025
The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) conducts the SRMJEEE for BTech admissions at all SRM campuses. The registration for SRMJEEE 2025 began on November 12 and the deadline to submit the application form is April 16, 2025.
State-Level Engineering Entrance Exam
Several Indian states also conduct their individual Engineering entrance examinations. These include KCET (Karnataka), WBJEE (West Bengal), MHT CET (Maharashtra) and AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh). These entrance exams help candidates to get admission to regional engineering institutes other than the IITs and NITs.
COMEDK UGCET 2025
The COMEDK UGCET 2025 entrance exam allows students to secure admission to Karnataka’s best private engineering, medical and dental colleges. The registration process for the upcoming academic year will tentatively begin in February 2025 and will continue till April 2025.
MET 2025
The Manipal University conducts the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) every year for various courses. The application for MET 2025 began on October 14, 2024, and will continue till March 15, 2025. Candidates can apply for the entrance examination through the official website of Manipal University.
