    NEST 2024: Candidates can submit their application form at nestexam.in latest by May 31.

    National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and Mumbai University – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), will begin the registration process for NEST 2024 on March 20. NEST 2024 dates regarding important events has also been announced by the conducting body. Once out, candidates will be able to fill the NEST 2024 application form by visiting the official website, nestexam.in.

    According to the official information, NEST 2024 exam will be held for a total of 200 seats. The last date to apply for NEST 2024 is May 31. Candidates will also get application correction facility, but the dates for the same are to be notified. NEST 2024 exam will be conducted in 120 cities across India on June 30.

    NEST 2024: Eligibility

    According to the NEST 2023 eligibility requirements, applicants should have completed their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% from Science stream. Candidates must also have passed the last qualifying exam in 2021 or 2023. Applicants in the general or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category are required to have passed Class 12 board exams with at least 60% aggregate, while candidates belonging to the reserved category should have obtained at least 55% in their Class 12 exam.

    Candidates in the General or OBC category must have been born on or after August 1, 2003, whereas reserved category candidates are granted maximum 5-year relaxation.

    NEST 2024: Exam pattern

    The NEST 2024 exam will include objective-type questions. The duration of the paper will be 3 hours. The NEST 2024 paper will comprise 68 questions in total. The NEST 2024 carries a total of 200 marks divided into 4 sections-Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. For each correct answer in MSQ, candidates will receive 4 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
