NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC Removes AIIMS Mangalagiri as Disability Centre
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important update regarding the ongoing NEET UG Counselling 2025. In its latest notice, MCC announced that AIIMS Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh, has been removed from the list of Disability Certification Centres for the current counselling process.
According to the official notification, candidates applying under the Persons with Disability (PwD) quota will no longer be able to obtain their disability certificate from AIIMS Mangalagiri. Students who had earlier planned to approach this centre will now have to opt for any of the other designated Disability Certification Centres across the country.
Why Disability Certificates Are Important in NEET Counselling
In NEET UG admissions, candidates seeking seats under the PwD category must provide a valid certificate from authorized centres designated by MCC. This certificate is crucial for availing reserved quota benefits in MBBS and BDS admissions at government, deemed, and central medical colleges.
With AIIMS Mangalagiri being delisted, aspirants are advised to check the updated list of approved Disability Centres published on MCC’s official website and plan their verification accordingly.
