The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially postponed the CA Final and Intermediate examinations scheduled on September 3 and 4, 2025, in selected centres across Punjab and Jammu City due to the severe impact of heavy rains and flooding in the region.

Why the Exams Were Postponed

Over the past few days, several parts of Punjab and Jammu have been experiencing incessant rainfall, leading to flood-like situations, disrupted transport, and safety concerns. Considering these challenges, ICAI announced that conducting examinations in these centres would not be feasible.

Affected Examination Centres

The postponement applies to the following centres:

• Punjab: Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala, Sangrur

• Jammu City

ICAI confirmed that the decision impacts only these specific centres, while exams in all other parts of the country will continue as per the original schedule.

Official Clarification

The institute stated that the announcement is a partial modification of its earlier notification dated May 30, 2025. Apart from the postponement of these two examination dates in the affected centres, all other details and schedules remain unchanged.

Revised Dates to Be Announced

ICAI assured candidates that revised exam dates for Punjab and Jammu centres will be announced soon on its official website. Candidates are advised to regularly check ICAI’s updates to stay informed about the new schedule.
