Delhi Technological University (DTU) is set to introduce a B.Tech-LLB dual degree program and implement a 20% supernumerary quota for women in its B.Tech courses starting from the academic year 2025-26.​

⚖️ B.Tech-LLB Dual Degree Program

DTU plans to launch a unique B.Tech-LLB integrated program, combining engineering and legal education. This interdisciplinary course aims to equip students with technical expertise and legal acumen, preparing them for careers at the intersection of technology and law. The program is currently in the planning stages, with details regarding curriculum, duration, and admission criteria expected to be announced soon.​

👩‍🎓 20% Supernumerary Quota for Women in B.Tech Programs

To promote gender diversity, DTU will introduce 20% supernumerary seats for female candidates across all B.Tech programs from August 2025. These additional seats are over and above the existing seat matrix and are designed to improve the gender ratio in engineering disciplines, where female representation has historically been low. The university is deliberating on whether to implement this quota all at once or in a phased manner. ​

• Admission Process: Admissions to DTU’s B.Tech programs are primarily based on JEE Main scores, followed by Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi. ​

• Application Timeline: The admission process for the 2025-26 academic session is expected to commence in July 2025, with the application deadline anticipated to be around August 20, 2025. ​
