West Bengal NEET UG 2025: Round 1 seat allotment today after delay; revised counselling dates out

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) will release the Round 1 seat allotment result for NEET UG 2025 counselling today, bringing relief to thousands of MBBS and BDS aspirants across the state. Revised counselling schedule
According to WBMCC, the fresh counselling timeline has been updated on the official portal. Candidates who are allotted seats in Round 1 will have to download their allotment letters, pay the admission fee, and report to their respective colleges within the stipulated time.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Round 1 seat allotment result: August 23, 2025
Reporting to allotted colleges: August 24 to 28, 2025
Round 2 registration and choice filling: Expected to begin in the first week of September 2025

Log in using NEET UG roll number and password.
Download the seat allotment letter.
Pay the prescribed admission/seat acceptance fee online.

Seats on offer
The state is conducting counselling for nearly 5,589 MBBS and BDS seats across government and private medical colleges in West Bengal. Both state-quota and management-quota seats are being allotted through this process.

A senior WBMCC official said, “The delay was necessary to ensure a smooth and transparent admission process. With the revised schedule in place, we are confident that counselling will now proceed without further disruption.”
