Ranchi, May 30, 2025 – Setting a new benchmark in campus placements, Nirdeshmol Laxmi Narayan Rao, a final-year BTech student from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at BIT Mesra, has secured the institute’s highest-ever annual placement offer of ₹1.45 crore. He has been selected by the international cloud data management firm, Rubrik.

According to placement cell sources, this is the highest package received by any student in the history of BIT Mesra. The ongoing placement drive for the 2021–25 batch has already seen over 190 companies participating, with 69% of the batch placed so far.

Placement Highlights:

• Highest Package: ₹1.45 crore per annum (Rubrik)

• Top Six Offers: Six students received packages of ₹52 lakh per annum

Past Records:

In the last four academic years, the highest annual package was ₹52 lakh, mainly offered by Microsoft. The trend continued consistently for sessions 2020–21 through 2023–24. This year’s ₹1.45 crore offer marks a significant leap, reflecting the growing reputation of BIT Mesra’s placement success.

Student Speaks:

Laxmi Narayan Rao attributed his success to focused preparation in data structures, full-stack development, system design, and problem-solving platforms like LeetCode and GeeksforGeeks. He emphasized the importance of consistent practice and peer support in achieving his goal.
