IIT Madras has announced that it will provide students with practical experience in the field by setting up an advanced lab in addition to its previously established dry anatomy lab. An anatomy lab at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has been funded by Power Finance Corporation. A grant of Rs 16.5 crore is used to fund the facility established at the Department of Medical Sciences and Technology.

The Madras-based Institute announced a few of the anatomy lab’s amenities in a press release. According to the announcement, the lab is equipped with cutting-edge equipment for efficient instruction and learning, particularly for the ground-breaking BS program in Medical Sciences and Engineering.

IIT Madras’ Department of Medical Sciences and Technology aims to provide a platform for engineers and medical experts to collaborate and develop products tailored to patients’ unique requirements, considering potential device-treatment interactions and existing medical conditions.
