NTA announces irregularity at NEET centre; re-exam for 120 students
The NEET UG 2024 exam concluded today, May 5. The provisional answer key will be released soon at neet.ntaonline.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully concluded the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 today, May 5. The NEET UG 2024 exam is conducted at 4,750 exam centres across India. An incident of question paper misdistribution occurred at the Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
Despite efforts by invigilators to prevent it, some candidates left the examination centre with question papers. To ensure fairness for all students, the NTA has decided to conduct a re-exam for approximately 120 affected students at this centre today, May 5, 2024.
Apart from this isolated incident, the NTA assures the public that the NEET (UG) 2024 examination began smoothly and is being conducted peacefully at all other examination centres across the country. The NEET UG 2024, took place in a single shift from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The NEET UG 2024 was conducted for around 24 lakh students. According to students who appeared, the exam was of moderate difficulty.
According to student feedback, the chemistry section was a bit lengthy, while biology was considered easy. However, physics posed a challenge for many students due to its difficulty level.
The NTA will soon release the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2024 on its official website, neet.ntaonline.in. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the NEET UG 2024 provisional answer key. By utilizing the NEET 2024 answer key, candidates can estimate their probable scores for the exam.
The NEET UG 2024 results are scheduled to be released by the NTA on June 14, 2024. Additionally, candidates can expect to receive their NEET 2024 scorecards via email, sent to the email IDs they provided during registration.
