NIT Rourkela Placements 2025: 1,274 Job Offers, Highest Package ₹62.44 LPA Despite Global Recession
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, has successfully concluded its campus placements for the academic year 2024–25, recording 1,274 job offers despite the ongoing global economic slowdown. The institute reported that several top recruiters participated in the drive, offering roles across core engineering, IT, consulting, finance, and research domains.

Branch-Wise Highlights
Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) students bagged the highest number of offers, with salaries ranging up to ₹62.44 LPA in international roles.
Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical Engineering (EE) students secured multiple offers from semiconductor and core electronics companies.
Mechanical and Civil Engineering students recorded strong placements in manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure firms.

Rising Opportunities Amid Recession
Despite the global slowdown in tech hiring and economic uncertainties, NIT Rourkela maintained a placement rate of nearly 90% for eligible students.
