NEST 2025 exam on June 22; registration from February 17
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2025 is a pivotal examination for students seeking admission to the five-year Integrated MSc programs in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai’s Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS).

Application Process:
- Registration: Candidates must register online through the official NEST website (www.nestexam.in) by providing basic information such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, and Class X roll number.
- Application Form: Upon successful registration, candidates can log in to complete the application form, which includes personal and academic details, selection of examination centers, and uploading of necessary documents.
- Application Fee:
- Female applicants (all categories): ₹700
- SC/ST/Divyangjan applicants: ₹700
- Male/Other applicants (UR/OBC categories): ₹1,400
Payment can be made online via net banking, credit card, or debit card.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: General and OBC category candidates born on or after August 1, 2004, are eligible. A relaxation of five years is provided for SC/ST/Divyangjan candidates.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum aggregate of 60% in Class 12 is required for General and OBC candidates, while SC/ST/Divyangjan candidates must secure at least 55%.
Exam Pattern:
- Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test)
- Duration: 3 hours and 30 minutes
- Sections:
- General Section
- Subject Sections: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics
Candidates are required to attempt the General section and any three out of the four subject sections.
